The spark · Pelotas

I was 12 when my uncle, Sergio Nunes, closed his computer business in Pelotas. What was left were tiny black-and-white monitors, 386 and 486 computers, and giant-sheet IBM dot-matrix printers.

Everything ended up at my father's house — he always loved electronics. I'll admit: electronics was never really my thing. But those machines lit a spark — something inside me said that was my future.

"Knowledge is the one treasure no one can take from you."

The greatest gift · 2003, UCPel

My godfather, Leonel Nunes, gave me the greatest gift I've ever received: knowledge. Head of the IT department at Universidade Católica de Pelotas (UCPel), he was recovering from an accident and needed help — so he brought me in for a volunteer internship at POP UCPel, Rede Tchê's Point of Presence.

I built and took apart hundreds of machines. I installed everything from Windows 3.11 to XP. I met Linux back when Debian still shipped on 8 CDs. I learned TCP/IP, networking, servers and cabling — the foundation of everything.

Discipline · The Army

At 16, I entered the job market. Too early, maybe: I lasted four months at my first company. Maturity came from an unexpected place — the Army. At the 9th Motorized Infantry Battalion, I built the pillars I still carry today: discipline, respect and work. And, of course, I kept doing IT on the side — messing with Samba and firewalls.

Years on the road · From Premium to Doctornet

I worked closely with local businesses — pharmacies, stores, improvised servers that, when the power supply burned out, would shut the whole company down. That's where I truly understood, firsthand, how hard it is to run a business.

At Doctornet, my great school, I spent four years in the field — installing antennas and running fiber to bring internet from city centers to farms in the countryside. I built real data centers — raised floors, UPS systems, fiber fusion splicing — and earned my first Microsoft certifications, in 2011 and 2013.

The turning point · 2014, Conrad Caine

I joined a German company with an office in Pelotas and discovered the world of software development — my mind was blown. Watching how applications were born, the languages, the front and back end on top of the infrastructure I already knew... it was a whole new universe.

It was also the height of the startup boom worldwide: Uber, Netflix, Spotify, Nubank. I watched it all up close, still as the infrastructure sysadmin, but with a growing urge to build.

Two worlds · Business and global brands

I decided to leave my comfort zone and experienced both sides of technology. As a sysadmin, I worked with Deutsche Bank and Siemens, in Germany. Then I traded infrastructure for business — becoming an account manager, business analyst and business developer — working with brands like Siemens Brazil, Vivo, Azul, Globo, BRB (leading its new portal project in 2018), and Wiz Soluções, whose insurance platform connected multiple insurers via API.

In 2021, at Double Left, I led account and project management for the delivery of two icons: Netflix's Almanaque Tudum and Spotify's Wrapped. For the first time, I was combining the technical skills I'd mastered with the strategy I was learning.

It's that range — infrastructure, business and product — that I bring today to consulting and mentorship.

And here the story stops being just mine.

My own · 2022, UB5

I founded UB5 (Applied Technology & AI). It was in this phase that I conceived and created SportvLand — Sportv's world on Roblox, connecting a mostly 40+ audience to Gen Z and Gen Alpha, with over 2.9 million visits. Then came SennaLand, the Ayrton Senna universe on Roblox, which I created for the Senna family.

And Doegols, Sportv's social project: in 2023, we won the pitch through UB5 with a strategy to expand its impact far beyond goals scored — over 30,000 pairs of sneakers donated and more than 100,000 children reached.

Through UB5, we've also delivered projects for major brands: BI work for Nubank's Páginas Roxas campaign; Neugebauer's new institutional website (2026); Timac Agro's new institutional portal, showing how the company brings technology and innovation to agriculture; and, for Ambev, a Corona game for Mexico, part of the Zé Delivery campaign, built on Drupal (Acquia).

Technology with purpose

I chose a clear path: technology that changes lives. I serve as technology consultant for Alia Inclui, applying AI to give blind and low-vision people access to information on supermarket product labels.

And, since 2025, I've been partner and CTO of GeneXperience, which democratizes access to genetic test reports with an AI platform in healthcare.

Today

As founder and CEO of UB5, consultant and mentor, I do what that 12-year-old kid — delighted by a pile of old computers — always wanted: use technology to create something that matters. And help brands and people do the same, with artificial intelligence as the engine.
